Suggested fly into Coron, if arrive early enough can do the Dugong tour right away, next day multiday expedition to El Nido (includes the main Coron sites along the way), El Nido private boat tour the next day. Stay one or two nights, then transfer to Port Barton, private boat tour the next day and end in Puerto Princesa (more frequent and less expensive flights than El Nido). Feel free to customize.

You can check out details of private single day tours near Coron, but the main sites are included in the multday expedition to El Nido. You can also extend your multiday expedition by seeing some of the more remote areas further west, out of reach to the typical Coron backpacker crowd. Coron is more of a commercial town and doesn’t really have a beach, in which case if you would like to stay in the area longer, we advise on one of the island beach resorts.

You can check out details of the various El Nido tours. One of our favourite highlights is the zipline to neighbouring island to walk back ankle deep along sandbar to sunset restaurant. If you are into nightlife El Nido usually has many live bands playing in the beach restaurants, mostly though during the peak season roughly from November through February. It has a long beach so there is plenty to see. If your plane arrives late in the day you will not have enough time for a full day boat tour until the next day.

Next day transfer to Puerto Princesa
We can help you coordinate and/or book your flights and accommodation, based on your preferences and flight schedules.
Not much to see in Puerto Princesa, but the flights out are more frequent and less expensive. We advise against the commercial version of the underground river tour, but suggest the private version if you have time. We do not organize the whale shark tours because they cannot be guaranteed to be seen.
