Didn’t travel there yet, but was warned by several not to, others who said it was fine. Muslim people are generally very kind and hospitable. Was near the border on the east coast of Montenegro, apparently 70% populated by Albanians, and they were very nice. Others in Montenegro said I wouldn’t have a problem, with my beat up Mercedes truck. Several people said that many Albanians go to work in Germany, many speak fluent German, and many drive back with a second hand Mercedes vehicle, so they are everywhere and my truck would not be anything special.

Here are some tips from a girl I was emailing with and who traveled by herself and by bus from Thailand to Bosnia (where we stopped communicating):

it is difficult for me to help u as i have no idea the expenses of traveling with a car. I travelled without, and there’s no way of surviving with 10 euro a day in both Montenegro and Albania. Although accommodation in both countries can be as cheap as 6 euro a night. Food, especially in Albania is cheap and if you selfcater or buy boerkes and stuff you only need a few bucks a day, but remember water can not be drunken here as in Croatia In albania i would guess u can park and camp everywhere and i think it is safe although i can not promise that your laptop wont encourage someone to tefth. It is a fairly poor country, keep that in mind. Other than that, I met lots of people traveling buy car all the way in all the countries from here to china, but in china / it is impossible!

We are a family operation managing private custom boat tours in the beautiful Palawan area, and are happy to help travelers with their plans through the Philippines, having traveled a lot of it ourselves and planning to visit it all. These pages in this section cover my various solo travels through Europe before meeting my wife.
