    Dibutunay Island, Coron: Travel Tips

Busuanga has many attractions that people will keep coming back to — aquamarine lagoons, fine white-sand beaches, and mirror-like waters. One of the destinations to add to your itinerary is Dibutunay Island, also spelled Debotunay; the island fits the description of tropical paradise. It is far from the bustling town. It has powdery bone-white sand and cool turquoise waters. A couple of hours’ long boat ride to get there is worth it once you get to sink your toes in the sand and swim in its waters. Don’t Miss Dibutunay Island has powder-like white sand and cerulean glass-like waters. The island is the perfect place to beach bum, go swimming,…

Exploring Caves and Shipwrecks in Black Island, Coron, Philippines

Do you want to stay in an island as you own it? Well, the Black Island is the island for you. Located in Busuanga, Palawan, only few tourists find this beautiful island. Black island gives off a very interesting feeling when approaching it’s monstrosity. However, its name is the complete opposite of the color of its sand on the shore. It is also a place of tranquility. There is a cave in the island where you can swim in fresh water inside it. Definitely a place to relax away from the busy life in the city. The Black Island is usually part of the tour from CALAUIT SAFARI. After visiting…

Magransing Island: An Underrated Tropical Island in Palawan

Although most tourists will only visit the touristy and known places like El Nido and Coron, there are plenty of underrated and undiscovered islands in between, one of which is Linapacan. The municipality of Linapacan has 52 islands included in its official region, but we counted there are 82 paradise beach islands to explore along our regular boat tours between Sibaltan and Coron. Also known as Little Maosonon Island, you can actually see a little resemblance between Magransing and Maosonon. Sure, the waters were still clear. But the island is famous for its long sand bar, which looks really amazing. The sand bar is quite narrow that you can see…

    Malcapuya Island

Malcapuya Island, tropical white sand beach paradise #1 of top things to do around Coron according to Tripadvisor. This island, along with Bulog Dos and Banana Island are part of a package offered by local tours in Coron because they are located so close to one another. Each of these stops, Bulog Dos and Malcapuya, charges an entrance fee of  200p/person, and is located close also to our recommended stop for this area, No Name island. Malcapuya Island is apparently the best of these three, and any of these four is a good stop to break up the trip into smaller parts. If you want to visit more than one…

    Bulog Dos

#14 of top things to do near Coron according to Tripadvisor. Like Malcapuya Island, Bulog Dos also has a nice white sandy beach, although rather short. It also charges an entrance fee, and has a long snaking sandbar that connects it to Malaroyroy Peninsula and the rest of Bulalacao. It has interesting rock formations, but is currently under negotiations with the same new owners of Malcapuya, so it may be closed to public soon as well (make sure to check the latest comments in Tripadvisor above for the latest news). It is usually part of the same tour package of three islands, including Malcapuya and Banana island. “Bulog” means bald,…
