There’s more to see in Palawan than what catches the eye! Aside from its clear blue waters and white sand beaches, Palawan is also home to colorful corals, diverse tropical fish, and sea turtles. Relax and feel the gifts of nature at Turtle Sanctuary!
Turtle Sanctuary in Port Barton, Palawan, is a vast area that comprises 28 hectares of protected land. For 12 years now, government authorities have started their preservation efforts for Turtle Sanctuary, making it the ultimate area where luxury and harmony with nature coexist.
Tourists can go kayaking and snorkeling while watching turtles and tropical fish in Turtle Sanctuary’s two large house reefs. The protected area is also a go-to destination for divers who want to marvel at deep corals, manta rays, sea cows, and other marine creatures.
Turtle Sanctuary lies next to Secret Paradise Resort, set in two private coves that are part of a 4.1-mile coastline. Both of these stunning beaches receive international accolades for successfully offering protection and being home to endangered sea turtles.
International travel magazines have featured these two since 2013, and they have won awards from nations such as the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Ireland, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, China, Indonesia, Dubai, and Qatar.
Getting There

You can hire a private vehicle, join a tour group, avail of public transportation, or check out tour packages that include Turtle Sanctuary in their itinerary.
Traveling from Puerto Princesa to Turtle Sanctuary may take 2–3 hours by road. Traffic and road conditions may affect the length of the journey.
Take advantage of guided tours when in the Turtle Sanctuary. On these tours, a knowledgeable guide will enlighten participants on the government’s conservation efforts. These tours will also allow you to participate in fun activities, such as releasing hatchlings into the sea. Meanwhile, this activity depends on the availability of hatchlings.
We advise that you check the latest updates in the local tourism office, tour operators, or online resources while you are planning your trip to the Turtle Sanctuary.

My husband stayed here for our anniversary. We wanted a place very close to nature with lots of sun, sand, and sea. Secret Paradise Resort is the exact place to go for all of those. The resort made our anniversary feel luxurious and private due to its intimate location. The food and staff were amazing. Our villa, Hawksbill, was located at sunset beach and we could see the beautiful surrounding every day. We swam, kayaked, snorkeled, but the best part was seeing the baby turtles hatch in the beach. It was truly a trip of a lifetime thanks to secret paradise resort.
