Description

Perfect for island-hopping adventures and scenic tours. Discover top destinations and travel advice for exploring Philippines.

This tour is ideal for those who want to experience white sand beaches and paradise but away from the busy crowds of El Nido. On the other side of the peninsula and only an hour away, the Sibaltan area of islands is perfect for those who want to enjoy the sites without the busy tourist hustle.

Unlike the busy lagoons of western El Nido, Sibaltan offers a serene alternative — an authentic fishing-village atmosphere and a string of remote, crowd-free islands scattered across turquoise seas. The tour showcases wild coral reefs, empty beaches, and friendly island communities — ideal for travelers seeking beauty without the crowds. We can even offer a land tour in this interesting, archaeological village!

🦈 Shark Island

A secluded island with a large tree, rustic hut, and calm turquoise waters, perfect for relaxing in the Philippines.

Don’t be alarmed by the name — Shark Island gets its title from its long, fin-shaped rock formation rather than its residents. The water here is calm and teeming with marine life, from schools of reef fish to healthy coral beds that make it a snorkeler’s paradise. Its isolation means you’re often the only boat around, giving you that rare sense of having your own private tropical island. There are also Blacktip Reef Sharks to watch in the area, although too small to be a worry.

🏝️ Small Maosonon Island

Stunning white sandy beaches with clear turquoise waters in the Philippines.

Small Maosonon Island is a slice of untouched Palawan paradise — powder-white sand, swaying palms, and shallow turquoise water perfect for swimming. Locals sometimes call it “the hidden gem of Sibaltan Bay.” The island offers excellent snorkeling along its reef edge, with clear visibility and a chance to spot clownfish, butterflyfish, and giant clams. Bring a camera — the contrast of coral reef blues and empty beaches is postcard-perfect. And if you have extra time, you could consider our deserted island survival experience!

🏖️ Magransing Island

Pristine white sandy beach with turquoise waters and lush island landscape in the background.

The largest and most striking island on this route, Magransing Island features long stretches of beach backed by gentle dunes and a panoramic sandbar that shifts with the tide. It’s ideal for a picnic stop, drone shots, and leisurely beach walks. On clear days, you can spot neighboring islands scattered across the horizon — a reminder of how vast and unspoiled this side of Palawan remains. Few tours reach this far, so it’s common to have the beach entirely to yourself.

🌅 Rawis Island

Person practicing yoga in shallow clear turquoise water on a tropical beach with boats and islands in the background.

Rawis Island is known for its rustic fishing-village charm and friendly locals who sometimes wave from their boats as you pass. Its shallow reef is home to colorful corals and seagrass meadows frequented by starfish and sea cucumbers. It’s also a wonderful place to watch the play of light across the limestone coast as the sun starts to lower — calm, simple, and genuinely off the beaten path.

🤿 Snorkeling at Abang Abangan Reef

Abang Abangan Reef palawan

Just off the coast from Sibaltan lies Abang Abangan Reef, one of the richest snorkeling sites in northern Palawan. Expect crystal-clear water, soft corals, and vibrant marine life, with visibility often exceeding 20 meters. The reef slopes gently, making it perfect for both beginners and experienced snorkelers. With no motor traffic and virtually no crowds, the only sounds you’ll hear are the soft crackle of coral life and your own bubbles.

✨ Why Choose the Sibaltan Island Tour

Private Linapacan Sibaltan Tour

If you’ve ever dreamed of island-hopping in Palawan before tourism arrived, this is it. The Sibaltan one-day boat tour lets you explore pristine, little-known islands, encounter genuine village life, and snorkel in untouched reefs — all without the chaos of El Nido’s main tours. It’s slow travel at its best: peaceful, authentic, and breathtakingly beautiful.

To get there, we can either organize a private van transfer from and back to El Nido, 2,500p each way, or you can take the local bus or shared faster van, but the best for a single day tour could be to rent a motorcycle in El Nido for about 7-800p/day. Feel free to send us a note for more info:
